
Full Throttle Remastered
Just before I started at Shiny Shoe, the team had finished development for both Grim Fandango Remastered and Day of the Tentacle Remastered. By taking the LucasArts classics, updating them to run on modern platforms, and adding new visuals and quality-of-life features, we could bring those games to a new generation of players. Based on the success of those games, it was decided that the last of the Tim Schafer-direction adventure games, Full Throttle, was a clear choice to bring to current consoles. Alongside Double Fine Productions, we developed Full Throttle Remastered.
As an engineer on the project, I focused on the localization, audio, and UI elements of the game. This meant having a deep understanding of the SCUMM and iMUSE engines used in the original game to present relevant data to the modern layer we’d built on top.
